Trees Atlanta IS Environmental Education
TreeKeepers Certification Program
TreeKeepers is Trees Atlanta's volunteer training and certification program. TreeKeepers consists of seven workshops, including indoor & outdoor activities, presentations, and engaging hands-on demonstrations. The graduate team will be certified in a manner that builds skill, appreciation, and pride to continue stewardship of our urban forest. Click the title to learn more about TreeKeepers.
The Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum Docent Program
Did you know the Atlanta BeltLine will be the site of an arboretum? The Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum will include existing mature trees and newly planted trees. Trees Atlanta needs help sharing the story of the Arboretum and leading projects throughout the 22 miles of continuous trails. Volunteers called DOCENTS will be specially trained to enhance the visitors' experience at the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum.
The Trees Atlanta Kendeda Center
We're excited to grow into our new facility, which opened in January 2008. In our platinum LEED-certified building, we will continue to educate and inspire advances in urban forestry, sustainability, and community building. Click the title to learn more about our new facility.
Perennial Education - Volunteer Projects
Since 1985, every Saturday is an educational event for Trees Atlanta. Have you seen us in your neighborhood planting, mulching, watering, or caring for trees? Or perhaps you saw us at your favorite Atlanta festival, or speaking at a neighborhood meeting, a school, or a conference about the importance of trees? Our goal is to engage the community and have involved more than 10,000 citizens who have planted over 72,000 trees since 1985. Our volunteers are highly committed and knowledgeable about Atlanta's urban canopy and its only getting better...
